Imagine the number of your prospects and customers you’ll be missing out on if you don’t already have an Instagram page for your business.
In this blog post, we will help you set up one.
Let’s get started straight away.
Download The Application
If you don't already have the Instagram application on your smartphone device, it's time to download it.
Instagram's available for tablets, smartphones, computers through Google Play, Apple iOS, or Windows App Store.
Usually, this application is quite famous among smartphone users, and it's geared towards mobile devices.
However, you can still use this application on Windows. But there will be some features that you won’t be able to access on your desktop computers.
Create An Account
You may create your Instagram account by choosing any one of these options:
· Sign Up With Phone Number & Email Address
· Sign Up With Facebook
If you already have an existing account, all you need to do is to sign in, and you will be redirected to your profile.
Connect To Facebook
You’ll begin with your personal profile, by default.
However, if you want to use this platform for business, you need to connect it with your business page on Facebook.
Hit the profile icon appearing on the bottom right of your screen.
Open the “Settings” menu at the top-right of your page.
Scroll down and click on the "Connect To Facebook” button.
Click “Choose A Page.”
Set it to public.
Now, Instagram will ask you for your permission in order to manage your Facebook page.
If you already have a business page, select it and, click "Next."
Complete The Profile Setup
Enter the following details to finish your profile:
· Phone Number
You’re required to fill in at least one of them.
If your Facebook page consists of any of this information, it will automatically be filled.
Hit “Done” and head over to your profile.
You’ll be able to see a new graph icon that’s visible at the top-right.
That’s where you will be able to see insights.
Edit Your Profile
Visit your profile page and select “Edit Your Profile.”
Add your business picture.
Write a clear and compelling bio.
Add your website link on your page as well.
If you have switched from a personal account to a business one, I'd advise you to change that photo, username, and name such that they reflect your business' ethics, values, and personality.
Add your brands' logo as a profile picture to make it easy for your customers and prospects to find you out.
Your bio should be a reflection of your business and how you add value to the lives of people.
It's Instagram, and you can use a casual tone in order to attract more prospects.
Various multi-national organisations change their bio from time-to-time in order to announce some fun stuff.
Publish Your First Post
Now that you are done setting up your Instagram business account, it’s time to publish your first post.
Make it count.
Personally, I’d advise you to come up with a constant theme for your Instagram posts.
This will help you make your brand stand out.
Use relevant hashtags to reach out to your target audience.
Measure analytics to know where you currently stand.
That’s the only way forward.
Live stories have been one of the most trending topics right now.
Equip it in your arsenal to reach out to your target audience effectively.
